Every one dies. As I sit here by my father's bedside, in a skilled nursing facility that costs $12k a month, (food and lodging, not including medical care) I have learned that death is a process, not an event. He doesn't have cancer, he is just old and dying. Slowly, so slowly, his body is getting weaker and weaker. Too weak to swallow, to form words, to fully close his eyelids... Yes, crap food companies are poisoning us, but personal health will not protect you from the long drawdown of assets for most types of non sudden death. This is a social infrastructure problem.
