I am shocked that this is still an issue. It is easy enought to say "men are jerks" but I feel like this reflects very poorly on women as well.

1) My generation evidently did not do a good enough job raising girls with a good body image and boys who are comfortable (and respectful) around normal female things. My son did not grow up with sisters, but he buys his girlfriend's tampons with no shame at all. Not because he watched a YouTube video, but because I didn't hide that stuff or load it up with mystery or shame.

2) Women need to not be ashamed if we don't want men to shame us. Wave that tampon in the air and all the women in the office cheer her on. Keep your tampons in a pencil holder on your desk. Stock up the women's room with supplies- ask the company to pay for them. Any man who makes a fuss- tell them to "grow up" while thinking very loudly "fuck off". Personally and collectivey women need to change this.

3) There are so many more resources for women today than a video at school. You can pretty much learn open heart surgery through YouTube, I am sure there is plenty of information on positive menstruation.

I am so sorry to hear of the negative experiences women are having at work around this!
