It doesn't matter what your degree is in. My Doctor just quit his practice, owned by an HMO. He said they have not had a cost of living raise in ten years. The HMO increased the amount of money that they got paid for a primary care visit by lowering the amount of money they paid specialists. Good news- right? No, they increased the payments, but passed none of it along to salaries. He admitted that doctors get paid like sales people, based on the number of patients they see per hour. There is pretty much no profession that has not been turned into corporate slave labor.
