Or, people could just vote. To me, that is irony. We don't need to take up arms. We don't need a lot of money to get the word out. We don't even need to stop shopping at Amazon. If Americans want healthcare, all we have to do is vote for the people committed to healthcare.

But, instead, the people most in need vote most vocally against the systems changes that would help them.

One reason is the deep, deep indoctrination into the idea that the market is good and government is bad.

The corollary, if I don't have what I need in this system, it is my failure, because the market is good.

To give up on this idea, would be to give up on everything you have been taught, and what you think the very definition of freedom is.

So, do I vote for freedom? even though I am not doing so well with it, at this time.

Or do I vote for evil government control? even though things like healthcare, pensions and workers rights make sense to me- but not if they are against freedom.

What kind of revolution can counter centuries of brain washing? (because the US was founded on the principles of elite, economic freedom as much or more so than individual liberty)

We can't see the collapse, because it is only possible in a world where the free market doesn't always work, and that world doesn't exist, therefore, there is no collapse.
