Robert Reich has been advocating for a wealth tax in the US. Whenever he starts to talk about it on the news they cut him off.

Dems in the US did finally pass a minimum corporate tax- which Repubs will repeal the second they get the chance.

I also beleive Biden has been nogotiating with other countries on a global corporate tax so that corporations can't just move to some island to avoid taxes. (blocked by R's in the US Senate)

If Dems in the US can hold a majority after the Nov elections, push for what was HR1- the For the People Act, which would severely limit the influence of money in politics.

The cure is not magical, it takes work, boring meetings with organizers and government, get out the vote, educating yourself and your friends. Being the dork who cares about politics. But, while we still have a democracy, it is within our hands to make the change.

(PS if Dems are too mainstream for you, advocate for Progressives, but remember on voting day, to vote strategically- ie don't split the progressive vote. Voting is not expressing your wishes, it is a battle and you need a stratedgy to win power back.)
